Pilot – Britten Norman Islander Captain
Aer Arann Islands has been operating scheduled flights to the Aran Islands off the west coast of Ireland for over 54 years. We are requesting expressions of interest from suitably qualified Pilots to join our Team as a Britten Norman Islander Captain.
Based in Connemara airport, the role involves single pilot operations conducting multi-sector hops between the Aran Islands and the mainland. You can expect diverse flying conditions. In addition to Technical Qualifications, relevant experience and sound decision making skills are fundamental for this role. If you have the necessary qualifications, and experience as listed below, we would love to hear from you.

Frequently Asked Questions
We offer scheduled daily flights between Connemara Airport and all three Aran Islands: Inis Mór, Inis Meáin, and Inis Oírr. We also offer scenic flights over the Cliffs of Moher and the Aran Islands, with or without an island drop-off.
Flights to the Aran Islands take just 8–10 minutes each way, offering breathtaking views the whole way.
Yes! We operate 7 days a week, all year round, with multiple flights per day — weather permitting. We are only closed 3 days in a year i.e.
Our mainland base is Connemara Airport, located in Inverin, Co. Galway — about 40 minutes’ drive west of Galway City.
